1791 MAIL FROM LONDON TO STOWEY, SOMERSET WITH MANUSCRIPT 'MIFSENT TO BRIDGENORTH'. Fine letter from 'Gough Square' in London to 'Mr Stevens, Atty, Stowey, near Bridgwater, Somersetshire' dated 25th Jan 1791 and charged '5'. Evidently missorted and sent to Bridgnorth with light strike '142 BRIDGE/NORTH' first type mileage mark in black (SH59) and manuscript 'Mifsent to Bridgenorth'. On reverse London date stamps JA 25 and JA 31 91. Unusual. (Ref 131632).
