Fine letter from Dewsbury, West Yorks to 'Mr Clapham, Dartmouth Street, Westminster' dated April 28th 1779, on reverse fine strike (over flap) General Office Dockwra type 4 (L336)(PENNY at left) and within 'G/SA'. Letter carried privately Dewsbury to London where it was put into the London Post. (Ref 128429).
