Fine letter from Nairn to 'Mr William Forbes, No.1 Primrose Street, Bishopsgates Street without, London' dated 2nd July 1780, without postal charge and presumably carried privately from Nairn to London where it was entered into the London Post. On reverse fine strike General Office Dockwra type 4 (L336)(PENNY on left) within 'G/TU', also fine strike 'O-CLOCK/7/G' time hand stamp (L368). Fine usage. (Ref 128014).
