1794 'LINCS INN - 3 -' RECEIVING HOUSE HAND STAMP LONDON PENNY POST (L420). Letter, some imperfections, from New Inn to 'Sir Isaac Heard, Garter Officer Heralds Office' dated 4th July 1794 with manuscript 'paid 1d', also on front light strike 'CROWN/PAID' hand stamp in red (L406). On reverse good to fine strike of the rare large type 'LINCS INN/- 3 -' receiving house hand stamp in black (L420). Also on reverse very fine strike of the London date stamp '7 o'Clock/4.JY.94/EVEN' in black (L402), only recorded in June and July of 1794. (Ref 123316).
