1855 DIE 2 1D RESERVE PLATE 16 IMPERFORATE IMPRIMATUR LETTERED AI. A superb imperforate top marginal imprimatur from 1855 die 2 1d reserve plate 16 lettered AI, very fine four margins and marginal inscription in top margin. This imprimatur was printed in 1855 in red-brown on small crown watermarked paper although the plate was not used until 1862 and all issued stamps are rose-red on white paper. A rare and sought after imprimatur. (Ref 135038).
