1844 LARGE PART 1D PINK ENVELOPE LEEDS TO GLASGOW WITH 'KIRKSTALL' UDC IN GREEN (YK1693). Fine large part 1d pink envelope Leeds to 'William Brown Esq., 24 Stockwell St, Glasgow' cancelled good strike of the 'normal' Maltese cross of Leeds in black and on front very fine strike 'KIRKSTALL' udc clearly in green ink (YK1693). On reverse LEEDS date stamp AP 30 1844 and GLASGOW date stamp 2 MAY 1844. This udc recorded 1845-1854, this usage pre-dates by one year. (Ref 128864).
