1843 UNDELIVERED MAIL WITHIN LONDON. Fine 'Private Friend's Report' from Cornhill to Portman Barracks, re-directed to Berkeley Square with 1d (SG8) pl.31 cancelled black Maltese cross, stamp does not belong and on front good strike 'T.P/Cornhill' receivers hand stamp in black. On reverse 'Not Known....' manuscript x 2 with London date stamps AU 5 and AU 8 1843. (Ref 135913).
