    1844 LETTER HERTFORD TO LONDON WITH 1D (SG8) AND ON REVERSE 'HERTFORD' SKELETON HAND STAMP (HE219). Letter from Hertford dated 29th Oct 1844 to Lincoln's Inn with 1d (SG8) lettered DE, three margins and filing fold affects, tied good strike '359' numeral of Hertford. On reverse good to fine strike 'HERTFORD' skeleton date stamp (HE219) dated OC 29 1844. Ex A L Kennedy collection who noted that only four examples  were recorded at that time. (Ref 136945).
