1775 MAIL HERTFORD TO CAMBRIDGE WITH 'HERTFORD' HAND STAMP (HE209). Letter, rather fragile, from Hertford dated 27th July 1775 to 'Walter Pollard Esq, Emanuel College, Cambridge', initially charged '3' but altered to '6'. On reverse fine strike 'HERTFORD' straight line hand stamp in black (HE209) and London Bishop mark '31/JY'. (Ref 136942).
