Fine letter from Normanton near Wakefield to Portsea Hants dated Oct 18 1845 with 1d (SG8), very close to large margins, lettered DH cancelled "831" of Wakefield upon dispatch and "625" of Portsmouth on receipt. On front light strike NORMANTON udc in black (YK2040), on reverse PORTSMOUTH date stamp OC 20 1845. Unusual to see stamp cancelled with two different numerals. (Ref 111457).
