Very fine entire from Edinburgh to 'Mrs Tanner, Revd H Wilton, Pewsey Wilts' with manuscript 'Paid Nov 17th 2/3d' then redirected to the same recipient 'Lansdowne Arms, Calne Wilts' with additional charge '1' and good strike PEWSEY date stamp NO 18 1840. Letter again redirected on the reverse to 'Mrs Tanner at E. Pumphrey, Overton near Marlborough Wilts' with 1d black pl.7 (SG2) lettered TK, very fine four margins and tied red Maltese Cross. Stamp with horizontal bend but a most unusual usage. (Ref 124851).
