UNDATED PIECE, CIRCA 1857 WITH DIE 2 1D (SG40) CANCELLED 'Aycliffe/Penny Post' HAND STAMP IN BLACK. Small piece, circa 1857 with unplated die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered LF tied very fine almost complete strike 'Aycliffe/Penny Post' hand stamp in black. Rare usage and one of only two such examples seen by us. (Ref 135869).
