Fine letter from the "Office for Stamps and Taxes, Legacy Duty Department" London to Hanford Dorset dated 2 Sep 36 with "Dorchester" added in a different hand, crossed through and re-directed to Blandford. Charged "10" and on front very fine strike of the "Missent to" hand stamp in black (DT256) and alongside fine DORCHESTER date stamp SE 6 1836. The missent hand stamp used 4 years earlier than county cat. records. (Ref 112396).
