1834 MAIL LONDON TO DORSET/MISSENT TO DORCHESTER. Fine letter from the "Stamp Office, Somerset Place..." dated 7 June 1834 to "Mr Samuel Spratt Strong Merchant Hamworthy Dorset", charged "10" with additional manuscript in a different hand "Dorchester" crossed through and replaced by "Poole". Also at top good to fine strike of the "Missent.to" hand stamp of Dorchester (DT254) and alongside fine strike DORCHESTER hand stamp (DT223), used four years later than county cat. records.
