Fine wrapper sent registered mail from Alfreton in Derbyshire to 'Messrs Joseph Pease, Bankers, Darlington, Durham' with two 1d (SG8) lettered EB fine four margins and EI, touched at left, paying 2d postage and 1/- registration paid in cash. On reverse 'ALFRETON' date stamp NO 10 1844. Very scarce provincial registered usage. (Ref 139369).
