Fine letter from Carlisle dated 7th Sept 1846 to Newbury, Berks with 1d (SG8) lettered FJ with four close to fine margins and tied good strike '165' numeral of Carlisle. On reverse 'CARLISLE' date stamp SP 7 1846. Letter with superb engraved letterhead of Carlisle. (Ref 133993).
