    1819 MAIL 'LEWBYN' IN CUMBERLAND TO CARTMEL, LANCASHIRE WITH UNRECORDED 'ALSTON' HAND STAMP. Fine letter from Lewbyn to Cartmel, Lancashire dated 8th Feb 1819, charged '8' and on reverse fine strike of the very small, 13 X 2mm and very rare 'ALSTON' hand stamp in black. On front light strike 'Penrith/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (CU401). (Ref 133760).
