1841 1D MULREADY ENVELOPE ULVERSTON (LANCS/CUMBRIA) TO KENDAL. Fine 1d Mulready envelope, stereo A158 from Ulverston to 'Mr H Tyson, Manager, Bank of Westmorland, Kendal' and cancelled good to fine strike Ulverston Maltese cross in black. On reverse 'ULVERSTON' date stamp 13 SP 1841 in red and 'KENDAL' date stamp SE 14 1841 in blue. Within is message from R S Ashburner who was a ship builder at Ulverston until 1847. (Ref 133665).
