Envelope, some creasing and small tear to left of but clear of stamps 'From HMS Queen, Black Sea Fleet Via Marseilles' with good to fine horizontal strip of three die 1 1d S.C.16 (SG17) lettered BG BH BI, BI slight imperfections. Stamps with two light strikes Crimean 'OXO' cancellation applied upon despatch in Constantinople and two fine strikes London '77' District Office numeral applied upon arrival in London. On reverse 'POST-OFFICE/BRITISH ARMY' date stamp AP 12 1855 in blue and London arrival date stamps AP 23 1855. Some imperfections as described but a most unusual usage with these two different types of cancellation. (Ref 136215).
