Used 1855 die 2 1d pl.26 (spec C7 abnormal, alp III wmk small crown) lettered KC cancelled very fine strike '984' numeral of Mere (Wiltshire) in red (spec C7ud, red cancellation on the basic perforate 1d issue cat. £2500). Mike Williams certificate 2020/196 'Re-perforated at top and right, lower left perforations slightly trimmed'. Despite faults a very rare cancellation on a rare printing. (Ref 123566).
