PL.23 (KK)(SG29) ON PIECE. Small piece London to Edinburgh with fine used Die 2 1d pl.23 red-brown on blued paper (SG29) lettered KK, both showing the distinctive 'GOTHIC K' and tied London 'S.E.3' numeral. On front circular 'TOO LATE/G.P.O' hand stamp, on reverse 'Newington.Causeway' receivers hand stamp and LONDON date stamp JU 4 1857. (Ref 117045).
