1841 MAIL 'SOCIETY OF ANTIQUARIES' LONDON TO NEWBURY CONFIRMING FELLOWSHIP WITH 1D BLACK PL.8 (SG2). Fine printed letter from 'The Society of Antiquaries' at Somerset Place, London dated 19th Feb 1841, letter confirming fellowship upon the addressee, to 'Henry Godwin Esq, Newbury, Bucks' with 1d black pl.8 (SG2) lettered GG, four close to fine margins and tied fine strike black Maltese cross of London. Some creasing, one of which affects stamp but a most unusual usage. (Ref 140001).
