1844 DORSET/BLANDFORD PENNY POST. Good large part wrapper Blandford to Windsor with 1d (SG8) lettered JH, cut into and very slight soiling, tied fine "87" numeral of Blandford. On front good strike boxed "No.1" receiver's hand stamp of Sturminster, on reverse fine strike "BLANDFORD/15 OC 1844/PY. POST" hand stamp in black (DT56) and WINDSOR date stamp OC 16 1844.
