    1866 MAIL BATH TO MADRAS WITH 1D (SG43), 6D (SG96) AND 4D (SG93), RE-DIRECTED TO MADURA WITH INDIA 2as. Envelope, rear flap missing, from Bath to 'Charles N Cochin Esq, care of Mesfsrs Arbuthnot and Co, Madras' with 1d pl.93 (SG43) lettered RF, 4d dull vermilion pl.7 (SG93) lettered CB and 6d lilac pl.5 (SG96) lettered OH, latter two stamps with faults, tied fine strikes 'BATH/53' duplex JA 26 66. Re-directed to Madura with Indian 2as orange-yellow cancelled 'MADRAS/1' duplex and also 'ARBUTHNOT' forwarding agents hand stamp. Various hand stamps on reverse. Scarce and attractive. (Ref 139657).
