1847 VALENTINE NORWICH TO WOOLWICH, WATER COLOUR PICTURE OF PANSIES WITHIN. Fine Valentine letter from Norwich to 'Edward Harvey Esq, 39 Rectory Place, Woolwich, Kent' with 1d (SG8) lettered AB, margins in places and tied '575' numeral of Norwich. On reverse 'NORWICH' date stamp FE 14 1847 and London date stamp 15 FE 1847. Within is embossed edging of cornucopia with quotes 'JE MEUR OU/JE M'ATTACHE' and 'JE NE/CHERCHE QU'UN' and at centre beautiful hand painted water colour of pansies with inscription 'Say where is true love's heart-sense grown?' and also 'Tis in my Valentine alone...'. Very scarce and most attractive. (Ref 136799).
