1939 FIRST TRANSATLANTIC NON-STOP FLIGHT LONDON TO ST LOUIS WITH 2/6 SEAHORSE (SG450). Envelope (247 x 128) sent via 'FIRST CLIPPER AIR MAIL' London to St Louis, USA with 2/6 Seahorse (SG450), unfortunately fault at top, tied fine strike LONDON date stamp 31 JLY 39, the first non-stop flight from the UK to America. On the 8th July the first Boeing flying boat left USA for Southampton, this cover was flown on the first return trip to New York, the flying boat used was the 'Yankee Clipper'. Very scarce.
