Envelope from Pembridge to 'Richard Hobbs Esq, Auctioneer, Foregate Street, Worcester' with fine 1d lilac (SG172) tied fine to very fine strike of the rare '455' 3VOS numeral of Pembridge. On reverse 'PEMBRIDGE' date stamp AU 2 83, this being the earliest known usage recorded by Parmenter. (Ref 131858).
