Fine letter from Leeds to 'Mr Harding Cocker, Lille, France' with fine 4d carmine (SG66a) tied fine strike 'LEEDS/447' duplex SP 10 58, on front circular 'PD' hand stamp in red and 'CALAIS' date stamp 11 SEPT 58. Within is superb engraved billhead of Thos. R. Harding/Maker of Patent Porcupine and Machine Combs' with very fine illustration of the factory in Meadow Lane, Leeds and images of prize medals won London 1851 and Paris 1855. (Ref 133339).
