1850 1D ARCHER EXPERIMENTAL PERFORATION PL.100 (SG16b)(OD) MATCHED TRIO. Good used 1850 1d Archer experimental perforation pl.100 (SG16b) lettered OD, several pulled perforations at foot but well centred and cancelled fine strike '50' numeral of Barnstaple, clear of alphabet 1 check letters. Matched with two used 1d imperforates (SG8), same plate same lettering, first with four close but just clear margins and cancelled '852' numeral of Welshpool, the second touched at right. Of 515 Archer covers of which we have records, 104 are used in Devon but only one from plate 100 used in 1850 is from Barnstaple. Rare provincial usage. (3 items). (Ref 130105).
