1855 REGISTERED MAIL LIVERPOOL TO LONDON WITH 6D EMBOSSED (SG58) AND 2D BLUE (SG19). Entire, some soiling, from Liverpool to 'Robert French Burnett Esq., 18 Carey Street, London' sent registered mail with good 6d embossed (SG58) paying registration and 2d blue pl.4 S.C.16 (SG19) lettered CD paying postage, both tied '466' numerals of Liverpool. The 6d has clear margins on all sides but scissor cut into design upper right, the 2d several short perforations. On reverse 'LIVERPOOL' date stamp MY 14 1855. (Ref 129802).
