Fine used 1840 1d black pl.1b (SG2) lettered NA with four large to enormous margins, cancelled indistinct strike red-brown Maltese cross. Matched with 1d red (SG7) with fine four margins but small tear upper right top margin, cancelled fine strike black Maltese cross. Both stamps show 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square and constant variety 'BURR RUB UNDER VALUE' (Spec AS5g/AS7g). (Ref 132945).
