1840-41 MATCHED PAIR 1D BLACK PL.2 (SG2) AND 1D RED (SG7) LETTERED NA, 1D BLACK WITH BLACK MALTESE CROSS (SPEC AS14m). Fine used 1840 1d black pl.2 (SG2) lettered NA with four good to large margins and cancelled good to fine strike black Maltese cross (Spec AS14m). Matched with 1d red (SG7), very close but just clear at lower left otherwise fine margins and cancelled black Maltese cross. Both stamps show constant variety 'LEFT UPRIGHT 'N' FAINT' (Lichfield).
