1857 DIE 2 1D PL.47 USED STRIP OF THREE ROSE SAVOY STREET PRINTING (SPEC C9A(2). A good used horizontal strip of three 1857 die 2 1d pl.47 rose Savoy Street printing (Spec C9A(2) on cream/white tinted paper lettered BA BB BC. BC creased but BA and BB very fine and cancelled several strikes 'PAISLEY/277' experimental duplex NO 23 1857, with BB solely cancelled with date stamp. A scarce and attractive dated example and showing the Scottish usage of the Savoy Street printing. (Ref 139625).
