For the 2007-8 season we have teams at all age groups from under 7's to under 16's.
We are always looking for volunteers & would be pleased to hear from you. As part of our Child Protection Policy all managers and helpers are CRB screened.
In accordance with the latest FA guidelines children up to the age of (but not above) 10 as at 31 August in that playing season (season commences in September) do not play on the large full size pitches but enjoy what is called ‘MINI SOCCER’. Mini Soccer is played on a reduced pitch size, with smaller goals, a simplified set of rules and 7-a-side with roll on/roll off substitutes. It is a most enjoyable experience and encourages skill development with maximum player involvement.
After that age (i.e. children 10-11 years old or older as at 31 August in that playing season) the children play ‘YOUTH FOOTBALL’ on the larger pitches with full sized goals, 11-a-side ( still roll on/roll off substitutes), and with the adult rules including off side!!
