105. 1890 UNIFORM 1d POST JUBILEE. A fine unused example of the 1d blue official envelope with insert. (*) (Ref 49939) £12.50

106. 1890 GUILDHALL EXHIBITION - INVITATION CARD. A good example of this very attractive item, some peripheral faults and other imperfections, but with fine engraving of the 'VR' in the centre and without reply portion. Priced accordingly. (*) (Ref 59857) £175.00

108. ADVERTISING. 1890 Q.V. ½d brown postcard Clapham to Churchstoke, Kent cancelled Clapham duplex MR/3/90 with printed note on reverse concerning the 'Society of Ancient Britons'. Slight toning. (*) (Ref 59055) £17.50

       

109. 1890 Jubilee. Fine example of the Jubilee postcard in pale blue from London to Berlin uprated with 1d lilac cancelled London squared circle AU/2/90 with additional strike of London Hoster AU/2/90 above stamp. Postage underpaid with tax handstamp. Unusual usage. (*) (Ref 61994) £150.00

110. 1890 UNIFORM PENNY POSTAGE. A good example of the 1d blue envelope sent registered mail to Amsterdam uprated (stamps on reverse) with 1d lilac and 2½d Jubilee cancelled Hatton Garden registered datestamps 25/AU/90. Amsterdam receiver on reverse. (*) (Ref 55107) £125.00

       

111. Circa 1890 linen parcel tag (113x38mm) London to Germany (slightly creased) bearing 1½d Jubilee (SG 198) tied London 'EC28' barred numeral endorsed 'Samples only; no value'. Unusual. (*) (Ref 61465) £55.00

112. POSTALLY USED FOREIGN BILL. 1892 envelope Nottingham to Frankfurt with a fine 3d Foreign Bill Revenue tied Nottingham duplex DE/30/92 with additional strike below. Presumbaly Foreign Bill initially unaccepted for postage as tax mark applied but no postage due collected. On reverse Frankfurt receiver. (*) (Ref 61626) £225.00

       

113. 1894 envelope, sent registered mail, Birkenhead to New York with most unusual combination of 1½d Jubilee (SG 198), 1d postal fiscal and 1841 2d blue (SG 14) - latter cut into - tied Charing Cross Birkenhead cds' JY/28/94. A quite remarkable transatlantic usage paying 2d registration and 2d postage. (*) (Ref 61885) £375.00

114. 1895 envelope (slightly reduced at left) sent registered mail London to Oregon, USA with 2½d and 4½d Q.V. Jubilees cancelled registered datestamps NO/26/1895. (*) (Ref 61165) £40.00

       

115. ADVERTISING/POSTAL STATIONERY. Q.V. ½d brown postcard, fine unused ( small stain) and showing on reverse various printed adverts in red by the 'Anglo-Colonial Letter Co Ltd'. Adverts include Italian provisions, tomatoes, peas, wines, coal, glue etc. Very scarce.(*) (Ref 59744) £175.00

116. 'SCHULTZE GUNPOWDER' ADVERTISING ENVELOPE. 1898 envelope London to Stirling bearing 1d lilac tied London Hooded Circle NO/14/98. On reverse very fine advert in yellow illustrating a gun cartridge etc. Backstamped Stirling NO/15/98. Slight crumpling. (*) (Ref 46447) £95.00

       

117. SAMPLE POST. A fine label (126x50mm) from London to Germany with Q.V. ½d vermilion (SG 197) and 1/- green (SG 211) cancelled APR/6/99. Manuscript reads 'Sample without value'. Very unusual usage. (*) (Ref 61883) £125.00
