153. 1840 2d PALE BLUE plate 1 (SG 6). Fine used lettered HF with good margins cancelled red M.C. Cat. £700.00. (PT) (Ref 53799) £250.00

154. 1840 2d blue plate 2 USED IN IRELAND. 1843 wrapper from Boyle to Dublin with a fine to very fine four margined example lettered GE tied good black M.C. On front Boyle datestamp in blue MR/9/1843 and 'No1' local receiving house handstamp of Ballyfarnon. Filing folds and closed spike hole well clear of stamp - a fine Irish usage.
